A Crown of Stars (Romance on the Go) - Pelaam A Hearts On Fire Review TWO & A HALF STARS--Set in Wales, Pelaam's "A Crown of Stars" is literally a fairy tale, a story with a fairy as a main character. Anil, one of the fae, is searching for his fated soul mate and has not found his mate anywhere in the fae or elven realm. He travels to present day Wales in search of his fated mate. But he does not know anything other than a riddle from a seer in his land.Anil and friend catch the eye of Cefin, a gay male who works at his grandmother's bookstore. He follows Anil and a fellow fae friend, sparks collide, fate intervenes and ta-da fated mates! The story had a good start. I wish more detail was given into the fae world and how more of their customs worked. it read like the reader was just supposed to know what each character was capable of. The ending was...alright-ish.The author rushed parts of the story or got ahead of the story at some points. Also the declarations of love were a smidge too fast. For example, Anil comes to the human realm for the first time and automatically stays with a woman name Blodwyn. There's no explanation if she's magical, human or not. She knows what Anil is and wasn't surprised. Eh, missed opportunity to me. The story is readable but don't expect a wow factor. It's an okay way to pass a half hour when you have free time, just don't have high expectations.
